Teaching

Teaching Interests

My teaching interests include 19th-century political thought and contemporary political theory, the theory and practice of nonviolent resistance, American political thought, and identity politics in the United States and Europe.

Experience

At Yale, I have taught as a teaching fellow for courses including Religion and Politics; Moral Foundations of Politics; Introduction to Political Philosophy; and Capitalism and its Critics. I am also an ESL writing tutor at the Yale Center for Teaching and Learning, where I meet weekly with non-native English speakers to discuss ongoing writing assignments.

At Tufts, I was a teaching fellow for courses in American politics and political theory, including Constitutional Law; Western Political Thought; Introduction to American Politics; Liberty, Morality, and Virtue; Nietzsche: Will to Power; and Tocqueville’s Political Thought.

I have also taught as a GED tutor and a writing instructor at Manson Youth Institution (a prison for young men ages 16 to 21 in Cheshire, CT).
