Backing up your data

Backing up your data is one of the best things you can do for yourself.  Losing a file or two, or missing a couple irreplaceable images from your photo gallery is bad enough.  Imagine what a hard drive failure or a laptop left in a NYC taxi would mean if none of that data were backed up anywhere else.

Yale University is currently utilizing CrashPlan as the university wide backup system for all faculty and staff.  It’s safe, reliable, easy to use and mostly hands off – once it’s set to work, you really don’t have to do much.

The list below will lead you to the specifics shown for information about Crash Plan.
